Gulf Country Caravan Park is in the heart of Karumba Township. Gulf Country Caravan Park has large shady sites. Easy walk to the boat ramp, hotel and Post Office which has a Westpac Bank agency. Across the road from the Park is the butchers with chemist, furniture, gift shop, and nursery next door and then supermarket with a cafe adjacent. Karumba Hot Bread shop is next to the Post Office.

Gulf Country Caravan Park has powered and unpowered sites as well as air-conditioned cabins, covered swimming pool and barbecue areas. Fishing is very popular in Karumba so they have a shaded fish filleting area. Guest laundry and amenities are well maintained and clean.

Karumba offers fishing tours to the Gulf of Carpentaria and scenic gulf and river cruises as well as very fresh seafood. Experience the thrill of feeding large barramundi at the Barramundi Discovery Centre where they breed fingerlings for release into the local rivers.

They have large shady sites and can handle big motor homes and big caravan. There is a covered swimming pool. They are centrally located in the Township of Karumba, one street back from the Norman River, and boat ramp.

How To Get There:
There are two roads to go, Cairns to Normanton and Cloncurry to Normanton. When you arrive in Normanton, drive north to Karumba. When you get to the first turn off at Karumba, keep going straight into the Township of Karumba, past the Golf course and follow the sign to the township, turn right at the town sign, then left at the end of the street, keep going ahead past the police station, post office, shops and they are the next block. There is a large sign with Gulf Country Caravan Park on it, at the intersection of Yappar Street which is the main street and Massey Drive.
