Description

Great Keppel Island Holiday Village is located in a gum tree bush setting less than a minute's walk to two perfect swimming beaches. Accommodation includes twin or double rooms; twin or double canvas tents erected on timber decks, and ensuited cabins. Also available are two self-contained houses suitable for families. All linen is provided as well as snorkelling equipment for use during your stay. A fully equipped communal kitchen and barbecue is available for guest use. Basic grocery items are available for purchase.

Guided kayak and motorised canoe trips available. Water taxi drop-offs and pickups available to and from Rosslyn Bay Harbour, and to surrounding beaches and National Park Islands.

The Village atmosphere is low key and quiet, giving you a taste of what island life is meant to be and the perfect base to explore Great Keppel Island - an undiscovered treasure with 17 pristine beaches, unspoilt bushland and pockets of fringing reef. A quiet, relaxing island retreat away from the worries of the world.

How To Get There:
Great Keppel Island is in Central Queensland on the Capricorn Coast from the town of Yeppoon, approximately 45 kilometres from Rockhampton. Water taxi service available to meet arrival and departure times of airlines. Contact the Holiday Village for times and prices.
Freedom Fast Cat ferries depart from Pier One at Rosslyn Bay Harbour - 10.30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and 9.15 a.m. Wednesday to Sunday.
Additional service at 3.00 p.m. on Friday. Return trips to mainland at 2.00 p.m. on Tuesday, and 3.45 p.m. on Monday, and Wednesday to Sunday. Additional departure at 10.00 a.m. Friday.
Peace Aviation flies from Rockhampton Airport to Great Keppel Island - book directly by phoning them.
Queensland Rail and all airlines arrive daily into Rockhampton.

Keppel House sits at the southern end of Fisherman's Beach protected from southeasterly winds. Fully self-contained, two storey, open plan house with large deck for enjoying the days and evenings. All linen and towels provided. Five to seven night minimum stay; shorter bookings dependent on gaps between existing bookings.
