The Hollow Log Country Retreat is situated in the secluded valley of Mount Byron, close to Lakes Somerset and Wivenhoe and just over an hour's scenic drive from Brisbane. This fully wheelchair accessible, 'gentle bush haven' can accommodate groups or families of up to 12 people in its four comfortable bedrooms and large, unique living area.

Disabled:
Access is available for guests with a disability. One of the bathrooms is fully equipped with grab rails, a fold-down shower bench and adjustable shower rose. The kitchen has been designed for wheelchair access and the door and hallways as well as the light switches meet the Australian Standards for wheelchair access.
How To Get There:
Guests usually drive the scenic journey from Brisbane, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast area or Toowoomba by private motor vehicles.
Tariff Information:
A two night minimum stay is required on weekends. A minimum weekend tariff of AUD480.00 applies. This tariff is for up to six people. Lower rates apply for midweek stays - please contact operator for quotes.
Their policy of 'sole occupancy' means that only one booking is taken at any one time. A discount of 10 per cent is offered to Seniors Card holders for midweek stays.
The Hollow Log Country Retreat
The Hollow Log is a four bedroom, self-contained, rustic ""cabin"" oozing comfort and charm. Two of the bedrooms have a queen sized bed in each and the other two bedrooms each have two sets of bunk beds. One queen bedroom and one bunk room are located off each of the two hallways in the cabin. There is a large wheelchair accessible bathroom as well as a separate shower and separate toilet. A large living area with fully-equipped kitchen and huge dining table is ideal for groups and the wide verandahs provide ample undercover relaxation area.
