Nestled amongst world heritage listed rainforest, Daintree Wilderness Lodge provides the visitor with a true rainforest experience, set right in the Daintree area. With boutique style accommodation, personalised service and friendly atmosphere, Daintree Wilderness Lodge is tailored towards couples. They only have seven cabins and really enjoy looking after their guests during their stay with them.

Each cabin has its own boardwalk leading you to your front door and offer complete privacy with a viewing roof and balcony overlooking the rainforest.

Cassowary birds, Boyd Forest Dragons and other unique wildlife are often spotted on the property by their guests. Guests have described their stay as ""unique and special"" which is what they hope to achieve for every guest.

How To Get There:
Daintree Wilderness Lodge is located two hours north of Cairns in the Daintree National Park. They are north of the Daintree River and south of Cape Tribulation. (About 30 minutes between both locations). When travelling from Cairns it is important to note that the roads wind through the rainforest and it is best not to drive at night. They advise guests to travel up in the day.

Detailed Directions from Cairns: Follow the main road out of Cairns, heading north. After about an hour, you will reach the small town of Mossman. About 30 minutes out of Mossman you will see a sign indicating the Ferry Crossing and directing you to Cape Tribulation. Take this turn off to your right. Travel over the river by barge, driving your car on to the barge. The cost is currently AUD19 return. Once you have crossed the river, you will travel downhill for about 14 kilometres to get to the Daintree Wilderness Lodge. Drive through Cow Bay Township, cross over Hutchinson River and past a school on your right hand side (Alexandra Bay Primary School). About one kilometre past the school you will see a large patch of lawn on your right. This is the Daintree Wilderness Lodge. There is a large sign. Follow the gravel road through the rainforest to their car park. Walk through the rainforest and they will greet you at reception.

Tariff Information:
Maximum occupancy is three adults and no children under the age of ten years.
Rates include a fully cooked breakfast daily, however no additional meals included in price.

Rainforest Cabin

Set deep within the rainforest, your cabin is very private. It has its own boardwalk leading you to your front door. With a viewing roof and a balcony it is designed to allow you to enjoy the rainforest experience. Three Cabins feature a queen sized bed and ensuite bathroom, and three Cabins have a queen and a single bed; all offering tea and coffee making facilities. The cabins feature some beautiful hardwood timber pieces, hand crafted pottery and are individually styled.

Tucked away at the back of the property, their honeymoon cabin offers couples the ultimate rainforest escape. With cute extras including a massage kit, bath robes, and a bottle of champagne along with unique romantic ideas, this will be sure to spoil your loved one.

Package includes a private candlelit dinner for two on your balcony.
