On the edge of World Heritage rainforest, you will discover a modern three-bedroom high-set house set on four hectares of land for wildlife wedged into Girringun National Park. Creek Valley Rainforest Retreat is nature-based and an ideal place to relax - ""the peaceful privacy is simply perfect"". Accommodation is strictly non-smoking and suited for a maximum of eight guests, ideally four adults and up to four children.

The house features two main bedrooms, privately positioned diagonally opposite each other. The third bedroom is designed for children with a bunk bed, a single and a trundle. All rooms and a modern kitchen open on to a spacious living area with comfy leather sofas and a dining table. A four-meter wide bi-fold door connects the living with a shady veranda featuring a second eight-chair table setting.

The only sounds you'll hear in the valley are those from wildlife and the running creek. The retreat is an exclusive hide-away in a secluded valley, yet only 20 minutes north of Ingham, a well-supplied town In Hinchinbrook Shire.

The Hinchinbrook Channel is a fishing mecca, the restored Tyto Wetlands form a birdwatchers' paradise and the historic Dalrymple Gap Track is a must for hikers.

This secluded rainforest valley in the Hinchinbrook Shire is bordered by a pristine creek with refreshing rock pools. The creek surroundings provides critical habitat for the Mahogany Glider and the Southern Cassowary in the Cardwell Range.

How To Get There:
Creek Valley Rainforest Retreat is at the foot of Mount Gardiner in the Cardwell Range, one and a half hours north of Townsville. 15 Kilometres north of Ingham, turn left off the Bruce Highway into Jones Road, just before the climb up the Cardwell Range. Turn left again into Mount Gardiner Road and follow this bitumen and dirt road to the end. Drive through the gate on the left hand side and follow the 500 metre long private road that leads into the valley and to the high-set holiday house.

Holiday House

The holiday house features two main bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, privately positioned diagonally opposite each other. The master bedroom opens up to a spacious ensuite with a double shower. The third bedroom is designed for children with a bunk bed, a single bed and a trundle. It is flanked by a bathroom with a generous shower and by a separate toilet. All bedding and linen, including (creek) towels, are supplied.
