Kilkivan Bush Camping is a spacious bush retreat for those who like to experience the beauty and tranquility of the bush. By no means does anyone

have to 'rough it' as the grassy sites are large and shady, with the option of power and water and most sites have a fire pit. There are clean amenities that

include hot showers and a laundry.

Kilkivan Bush Camping is a pet friendly park which encourages horse enthusiasts to camp and utilise the National Trail that the park is situated on. There is a full catering service provided and regular live entertainment to enjoy.

Kilkivan Bush Camping's aim is to provide a clean, friendly and relaxed holiday experience for all visitors. Children are very welcome and will enjoy exploring the creek, cooking marshmallows under the stars and seeing some of the wonderful birds and wildlife that can be found in the park. Pushbikes are permitted and there is plenty to explore in the local area and surrounding districts.

Pets Allowed:
Yes. Pets and Horses welcome. When bringing horses please bring your own electric fence. On the day of the annual Great Kilkivan Horse Ride, a good percentage of the 1,000 riders pass through the park. This event is a must-see for any horse enthusiasts and a wonderful event for families to enjoy as the park is filled with horses of all breeds and colours.

Kilkivan Bush Camping is known for its birdlife and unspoilt tranquil, natural park setting. Being on the National Trail it is popular with horse riders, cyclists, walkers and those who just want to 'get away from it all'!

How To Get There:
Six kilometres off the Wide Bay Highway - signed one kilometre east of Kilkivan - bitumen all the way. From Brisbane or Sunshine Coast - follow Kilkivan signs off Bruce Highway 12 kilometres north of Gympie. From Maryborough/Hervey Bay - follow Kilkivan signs off Bruce Highway 40 kilometres south of Maryborough. From Toowoomba/Kingaroy - head east through Goomeri and Kilkivan. From Monto/Cania Gorge - turn left off Burnett Highway at Tansey then east through Kilkivan.

Camping Hut

Each camping hut is light and airy. You reserve your own individual hut, so you don't have to share with strangers, but charges are still by beds occupied, which can be up to six on bunks; two huts even have double beds. Please bring your own bedding and light source as the huts are unpowered.

Adjacent to the huts, the camp kitchen has mains electricity, fridge/freezer, gas burners for cooking, a free gas barbecue, kettle and toaster. The camp kitchen has been specially designed for group self-catering and has a large food preparation and washing up area. Tables and chairs are supplied and there is a large fire pit near the camp kitchen.
