Blue Gem Caravan Park, the Friendly Fossickers Park is situated in Sapphire on the banks of Retreat Creek where Sapphires were originally discovered. You can hire some equipment and wander down to the creek and do some digging for yourself and maybe find the Big One! They can also organise a Fossicking Tour out to the fields. The shop is open 7.00a.m. until 7.00 p.m. every day except public holidays. The facilities offered are groceries, fuel, gas, ice, takeaway food, souvenirs, jewellery sales, fossicking/camping permits, hire equipment and much more. Happy Social Hour every day during winter, they bring the nibblies on Saturdays. Come along and enjoy their wonderful friendly park.

Blue Gem Caravan Park is situated in Sapphire right in the heart of the Central Queensland gemfields. They are 30 minutes drive from Emerald.
