Blue Gem Caravan Park, the Friendly Fossickers Park is situated in Sapphire on the banks of Retreat Creek where Sapphires were originally discovered. Their fossicking park located on site allows you to search for stones under the guidance of their staff. For the more serious fossicker you can hire some equipment and wander down to the creek or public fossicking areas and do some digging for yourself and maybe find the Big One! They can also organise a Fossicking Tour out to the fields.
... moreThe facilities offered are groceries, fuel, gas, ice, takeaway food, souvenirs, jewellery sales, fossicking/camping permits, hire equipment and much more. Happy Social Hour every day during winter, they bring the nibblies on Saturdays. Come along and enjoy this family and pet friendly park.

Blue Gem Caravan Park is situated in Sapphire right in the heart of the Central Queensland gemfields. They are 30 minutes drive from Emerald.
Tariff Information:
Extra persons are charged at AUD10.00 per person per night in Cabins, and AUD5.00 per person per night for Powered Sites.
