Augathella on the Highway is a conveniently situated service centre for travellers, incorporating the BP Roadhouse, shop, restaurant and adjacent Augathella Motel and Caravan Park. Set in five acres of grounds, the motel offers comfortable queen size and family rooms as well as special budget units for those guests requiring clean and modern accommodation but at minimal expense. They know that travellers like an early start, so every day from 6.00 a.m. they offer a free buffet style light breakfast for all motel guests. For caravaners and campers, they offer elevated powered sites with plenty of room for even the largest of recreational vehicles, in a quiet and peaceful setting. How To Get There:
Augathella on the Highway is located directly on the main route from Brisbane and northern New South Wales to Longreach and Mt Isa. Reception for all services is located at the BP Roadhouse on the corner of the Landsborough (Matilda) Highway and Main Street, Augathella. Approaching Augathella from the south, skip the first signed Augathella exit and two kilometres along you'll see them directly on the left. Approaching Augathella from the north, they're the first thing you'll see on the right, so come straight in!

Powered Site

Elevated powered sites are located within the five acres of motel grounds. Spacious and clean amenities are provided in a central well-lit block which includes showers, toilets and laundry facilities. Large drive-through sites and wide internal roads easily accommodate the largest of recreational vehicles and buses. Enjoy the peaceful surrounds and abundance of resident native birdlife and kangaroos. Holidays in the outback are about enjoying wide opened spaces so under no circumstances will guests be cramped in like sardines!

Unpowered camping is also available in a designated area at a cheaper rate.
