Tucked away in private gardens is Thistledown Cottage which is fully self contained with a spa bathroom, cosy fire-lit lounge, dreamy bedrooms and a scenery soaked deck. Ideal for two and accommodates four.

The elegant homestead blends the traditional Queenslander style with a federation charm. It offers a sumptuous style from a bygone era, where guests can indulge in dressing up for a candlelit silver service dinner or a 'themed' dinner served with stunning food and wine - or just relax.

In this peaceful and restorative setting, the hosts also offer life coaching and residential life focus retreats.

Breakfast is provided and served for all guests and casual dining options are also available indoors. Al fresco dining is available in the French provincial courtyard or in the tranquil gardens.

How To Get There:
Drive to Beaudesert, take the Mount Lindesay Highway to and 11 kilometres beyond Rathdowney. Turn right at the Mount Barney Road, drive four kilometres and turn left into Harper Road. Thistledown Country Retreat is signposted. Drive along Harper Road for 500 metres, and having crossed a small bridge and driven to the top of a hill, the road turn sharply to the left (Thistledown is straight ahead at the red letter box). Drive through the black gates.
