Reid's Place offers a pair of private sanctuaries, ideally suited for couples who need space and luxurious comfort for a weekend getaway or romantic escape, a wedding night or anniversary celebration. The cottage has private entry, a queen bed and sofa bed, kitchenette, huge double spa, air-conditioning, televisions, DVD, compact disc and your own private verandah where you are served a full cooked breakfast looking out to the cottage gardens in the morning sun.

Camellia Cottage is set in beautiful gardens; the gardens are open yearly on a weekend in May for the Australian Open Garden Scheme. The cottage is aptly named, as there are over 100 Camellia's on the property, which are a blaze of colour in April and May.

Reid's Place also offers a tranquil and elegant setting for wedding ceremonies. If you a planning your wedding and want a very special venue, you've found it. The glorious gardens, the rare vintage car, the gorgeous open garden chapel and the superb location, make Reid's Place hard to top.

Reid's Place and Camellia Cottage is often used for Bridal Slumbers the night before the wedding, the bridal party then spend the day preparing for the wedding.

This half acre property is one of the largest on the peninsula and is renowned for its beautiful gardens.
Both the cottages and the main house are surrounded by spacious shady verandahs which overlook the gorgeous colourful garden beds.
At the other end of the flower filled long arbour you enter a courtyard which is shaded by one of the largest mango trees you'll ever see. Open the quaint garage doors and you'll find Rob's impressive collection of vintage cars, one of which - a 1927 Dodge Brother's Tourer, and the rare 1934 Terrplane Phaeton, are used for wedding ceremonies and local tours.
A discount can apply for stays longer than three days, except during Christmas, Easter and public holidays. Please contact the operator for more information.

How To Get There:
Drive north along Marine Parade, from the Redcliffe Jetty, following the coastline. Turn left into Victoria Avenue and continue north. This becomes Scarborough Road, and Reids Place is located at number 377 on the left, not far from the northern tip. Airport transfers can be arranged. Reids Place is 35 minutes from Brisbane airport and about one hour from Maroochydore airport. Alternatively take a train to Sandgate and a bus to Redcliffe/Scarborough and Reids Place will arrange pick you up. Call first and they'll help you with arrangements.
