Description

Keswick Island Guest House is located on beautiful Keswick Island, the most southerly of the Whitsunday Group, just 32 kilometres north east of Mackay. Keswick Island is a National Park with five sandy beaches and fabulous fringing coral reef.

The house has just four guest rooms. All rooms feature king beds and ensuite bathrooms and the three downstairs rooms open directly to the 150 square metre deck overlooking the Coral Sea and neighbouring Whitsunday Islands. Choose a book from the library and relax, or see the passing whales play from the deck during August and September. Walk the bush track to Connie Bay and pass beehives that produce the famous Keswick Island honey. Swim and snorkel or paddle a kayak in Basil Bay.

Your holiday includes three delicious meals each day, along with use of snorkelling gear, kayaks and a golf buggy to explore the island.

Enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine from the bar or ask for your favourite cocktail. The Guest House is licensed and there is a selection of beers, wines and spirits to choose from. Keswick Island Guest House is a world away, yet just a 15 minute light aircraft flight from Mackay.

Wheelchair access is available to the ground floor of the house.

Children:
Cancellation Policy: 20 per cent deposit is required to secure your booking. Deposits will be refunded if the booking is cancelled more than 30 days from the arrival date less 20 per cent administration fee. Bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival will forfeit the deposit.

Children over 12 years can be accommodated in a twin room or king room as appropriate. The three downstairs rooms are king rooms, and each has one king bed. All four rooms sleep two people only. Roll away beds or cots are unable to be supplied.

Paperbark is our largest room and is situated at the southern end of the house. This room features a king bed with bedside tables and lamps, ceiling fan and two seater sofa. Paperbark also has a small built in wardrobe and a teak sideboard. There is direct access from this room to two decks, including the main deck with fabulous views over the Coral Sea and a smaller private deck facing Basil Bay. The ensuite bathroom features delightful Tree of Life toiletries & Rainforest Remedies lemon myrtle soap. Frosted Louvre windows open to overlook Basil Bay. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is two people.

Driftwood is a compact room located on the first floor. The room features either an American king bed or two king single beds, a ceiling fan, bedside tables and bedside lamps. Driftwood also has a large built in wardrobe. There are views seaward to Wigton and Calder Islands and south west to Mackay from this room. The ensuite bathroom features delightful Tree of Life toiletries and Rainforest Remedies lemon myrtle soap. Driftwood is an ideal choice for teenagers or for guests who prefer twin beds.
