Hillside Bed and Breakfast and Gumnut Cottage's unique location offers beautiful views across the Hinterland to the Gold Coast and Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by National Park and Reserve, Hillside is a luxurious Retreat away from the stresses of life, but within easy access of both the Mountain attractions and the Gold Coast.

Gumnut Cottage, private, nestled amongst the gum trees, offers self-contained accommodation with its own balcony where you can wake up to Nature's Song, and over a glass of wine in the evening, soak up the magic of twinkling lights. Small dogs and child friendly.

The Lyrebird Suite, self-contained, presented with a lovely breakfast hamper, or the Rose Room Suite with your breakfast cooked for you, offer you the warm friendly atmosphere of Hillside.

For those warm sunny days, splash in a tropical pool/spa to cool off, whilst in the winter months, curl up in front of your own private log fire and relax over a good book. At night enjoy the twinkling lights, the moon and stars, perhaps see a possum, as you relax in the quiet private atmosphere of Hillside Country Retreat.

Pets Allowed:
Yes. Small pets are allowed by prior arrangement in the Cottage (no puppies). Dogs must be on a leash outside the Cottage at all times and definitely are not allowed on any beds or furniture. Breakages or damage caused by pets must be paid for. There is a small fee of AUD10.00 per night, per dog.

Cancellation Information:
A deposit is required upon booking, balance is payable upon arrival.
Cancellation Policy: Outside of 14 days prior to arrival 15 per cent of total accommodation cost will be retained to cover our costs. Within 14 days prior to arrival and more than seven days prior to arrival 50 per cent of total accommodation cost will apply. Within seven days prior to arrival time or if guests fail to arrive 100 per cent of accommodation cost may be charged.

Further Details:
Minimum of two nights stay over Christmas, Easter, long week-ends, otherwise happy for single night stays. Mid-week rates are less and for specials please refer to the website. An experienced masseuse can be arranged to visit you in your Suite or Cottage by prior arrangement. All parking is off road. Gumnut Cottage is small dog friendly and child friendly.

How To Get There:
From the north and Brisbane take the Pacific Motorway and Exit 57 (Sanctuary Cove). Three kilometres on the Tamborine/Oxenford Road turn left - Maudsland Road. Eight kilometres to T-junction turn right (Road Number 90). Five kilometres to Henri Robert Drive turn right. Five and a half kilometres to Hillside.
From the south and Coolangatta take the Pacific Motorway and Exit 57 at Nerang. Follow the Beaudesert Road (Number 90) until you reach Henri Robert Drive turn right. Five and a half kilometres to Hillside.
From the Gold Coast - Get to Nerang and follow Road Number 90 (Beaudesert Road) as above. Look for roadside signs on your approach to the Mountain.

Tariff Information:
Breakfast hampers can be arranged for Gumnut Cottage (self-contained) at an additional fee.

Gumnut Cottage (child/pet friendly)

Gumnut Cottage has total privacy, away from the house with fabulous views to the Ocean, and is set amongst the dappled shade of the surrounding trees with only birdsong for company. Very spacious with two bedrooms and a comfortable lounge, pot belly stove, a full kitchen including a washing machine and dining area for up to four.

The private deck has its own barbecue, and is an excellent place to put your feet up at the end of the day, and sit back with a glass of wine, while the lights of the Gold Coast start illuminating the coastline.

Includes complimentary tea, coffee, Port and chocolates upon arrival. All linen is supplied.

Lyrebird Suite

Lyrebird Suite is beautifully furnished comprising a queen bedroom with a lovely ensuite attached to the house. Relax in your own private and spacious lounge which has a dining area and kitchen. With a separate entrance it is a real home away from home with every comfort including a log fire, television, surround sound system, DVD (with a selection of DVDs) and lovely views across the forests of the mountain. Curl up in front of the cosy fire in winter, or cool off in our swimming pool during summer. Guest barbecue available.

Includes breakfast hamper and complimentary tea, coffee, Port and chocolates upon arrival.

Rose Room Suite

Includes a cooked breakfast serviced by Hosts. Suite comprises queen bedroom which has a television with large separate bathroom, small sitting room and kitchenette. Heating and electric blankets for winter, or cool off in the guest swimming pool during summer.

Relax on the front balcony and soak up the beautiful view across the Hinterland to the Pacific Ocean and Gold Coast.

The Rose Room and Lyrebird Suites can be converted into a Double Self-contained bed and breakfast by opening an interconnecting door enabling each couple complete bedroom/bathroom privacy.
