On 50 acres of serene nature, the mountain retreat is also home to a multitude of birds and wildlife you will enjoy spotting from your deck. Take a walk on the bush property trail, climb up to the top of Mount Campbell, the highest peak in the area, or explore the Historical Gorman's Gap track, the first bullock wagon supply route up the escarpment.

This is an ideal getaway for honeymooners, couples, families and anyone in need of rejuvenation. Spa, mobility impaired facilities, wood heaters are available. Only five kilometres to Preston Peak Winery, Preston Village historic Chapel and Restaurant and an easy 15 minutes drive to the Garden City of Toowoomba.

All chalets have on-grid solar electricity, solar hot water and worm activated waste water treatment system with reuse of filtered water in garden sub-irrigation. Decks are made of recycled hardwood in provenance of old railway bridges. Waste disposal facilities allow sorting out and recycling.

ecoRidge Hideaway has a star rating from AAA Tourism: a four star accreditation has been awarded in the Bed and Breakfast Self-Catering category and the Environmentally Friendly Star.

How To Get There:
EcoRidge is located one and a half hours west of Brisbane and 17 kilometres south of Toowoomba. When driving south from Toowoomba city centre, follow Warwick direction on Ruthven Street. It will lead to the New England Highway. Travel along the New England Highway for four kilometres, past the Kmart/Coles Shopping Complex. Take the turn off on the left to Preston Peak Winery. Follow the main picturesque road (Preston Road then Preston Boundary Road) for nine kilometres. Rockmount Road is on the left, and ecoRidge Hideaway, 400 metres further down on the left hand side.

Ironbark Chalet

Ironbark, like Applegum, is open-plan living with a sun deck at the front. Both chalets are suitable for couples and can accommodate an extra guest on a rollaway bed. A wide sliding-door opening onto the deck allows you to contemplate fascinating valley views and unforgettable sunrises, from the lounge or the comfort of your Queen Size bed dressed with the finest linen. The contemporary bathroom also has great views. For winter, a wood heater enhances the ambience of those cold evenings.

Full cooking facilities are provided with gas cook top, electric oven, microwave and large fridge. A digital television, a DVD/CD player and an iPod dock station are there, for you, to keep in touch with the world, if you ever need it.

Bushland has been designed for couples and families up to four. It has mobility impaired facilities and an access ramp. There are two bedrooms, one with a Queen Size bed and stunning views, the other with a bunk bed. The finest linen is provided.
