Daintree Valley Haven offers three private, self-contained, Bed and Breakfast rainforest bungalows in the tranquil Stewart Creek Valley, surrounded by Daintree National Park.

A peaceful 30-acre oasis just 8 kilometres (five miles) beyond Daintree Village and a perfect base for all the activities at Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef, Cairns, Atherton Tablelands and Cairns Highlands. The air-conditioned bed and breakfast bungalows are designed for couples, or a maximum of three adults - a daily tropical breakfast basket is included and other food and drink options are available.

Daintree Valley Haven's varied vegetation attracts a variety of wildlife. A birdwatchers' heaven with over 120 bird species identified, a myriad tropical butterflies, pick-your-own tropical fruits, lush rainforest and gardens, walking trails, and the bungalows all overlook a large wetlands-dam. Rejuvenate! Breathe pure air and savour delicious water from an underground spring. And if you cannot live for a little while without your mobile phone, televisions or

radio, Daintree Valley Haven may not be for you! It's the perfect tropical honeymoon retreat, a quiet hideaway for couples, birdwatchers and nature-lovers.

Your resident hosts, Peter and Daphne, will respect your privacy, but will always be available if needed.

Access Information:
Access to the property is for self-drive guest only. The scenic coastal drive from Cairns Airport takes an hour and a half. Drive through Mossman to Daintree Village - do not turn right to Daintree ferry. Follow the blue signs for eight kilometres along Stewart Creek Road, a picturesque winding graded road, council-maintained and suitable for normal vehicles.

Further Details:
A daily breakfast basket is supplied and includes a platter of home-grown tropical fruits, juice, cereals, home-made jam and locally-grown coffee and tea. Bring your own supplies and dine at home or on the barbecue in the historic old open shed - perhaps have a dip in the jacuzzi while your barbecue cooks? Self-cook meals and drinks are also available. Or enjoy some local tucker at one of several restaurants near Daintree Village.

How To Get There:

Cancellation Information:
Notice of intention to cancel booking must be received 48 hours prior to intended arrival or a cancellation fee equal to the first night's accommodation will be charged.

Self-contained Cabin

Each of the three airy, comfortably furnished cabins provides open-plan living for a maximum of three adults with either a Queen or King/Twin bed and convertible futon sofa. (Please request preference when booking). There are no facilities for children under 12.

Each cabin has a verandah with outdoor chairs and a table overlooking the wetlands dam and rainforest. They are air-conditioned, with ceiling fan and fully screened. There is an ensuite bathroom with large shower. Kitchen facilities include a fridge, microwave, two burner ceramic cook top, toaster, coffee

plunger and all utensils. Drinks and meal packs are available for purchase.

Amenities include hairdryer, umbrella, spotlight torch, soap powder and drying rack for clothes, and compact disc player with a small selection of relaxing music compact discs.
