Balgal Beach Holiday Units are beachfront, self-contained set in tropical gardens around the pool and barbecue area. Relax in paradise - strolling along the eight kilometres of pristine beach, in the pool, or playing golf, tennis and bowls at the country club. Nature lovers can observe up to 140 species of birds including Blue-winged Kookaburras which are fed daily. Enjoy an evening outdoor barbecue and maybe spotlight the nocturnal wildlife - looking for native frogs, stone-curlews or tawny frogmouth owls.

Balgal Beach - one of Townsville's northern beaches - is located 50 kilometres north of Townsville Central Business District and is central for day trips to Ingham, Wallaman Falls, Paluma or numerous nearby islands. Children:
Families travelling with children are welcome and well catered for. Baby bath, cots and highchairs are available free of charge as well as an extensive range of children's movies (over 100) board and card games (over 100) and toys and outdoor games (over 100). Large areas of lawn or eight kilometres of beach allows families to play outdoors with the supplied equipment. The pools spa doubles as a child's wading pool.

Pets Allowed:
Yes. One pet friendly 2 bedroom unit (Unit 10) is now available for guests travelling with pets. It has a small fenced area which opens to a pathway to the beach through a nature reserve. Clean well behaved pets are allowed indoors - with a strict no pets on furniture or bedding policy. Pets must be kept on a leash on entering and departing the property. Additional pet policies on application.

Cancellation Information:
Peak time holding deposit is AUD100.00 per unit. Deposit is transferrable to another time if the booking is cancelled four weeks prior to the booked dates. Deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable if the booking is cancelled within four weeks prior to the booked dates.

Further Details:
Since June 2003, the new owners have been giving the units ongoing upgrades reflected by proudly being Tourism Award winners in both 2004 and 2005. Resident Owners Terry and Roslyn take pride in the maintenance, cleanliness and appearance of both the units and gardens. They live onsite and are available to personally assist with guest enquiries.

How To Get There:
Travel along the Bruce Highway 50 kilometres north of Townsville (or) 55 kilometres south from Ingham. Turn off highway and stop at the Railway Crossing, then drive along Balgal Beach Road for three kilometres. Turn right into Acheron Drive, continue one kilometre and turn left at the T intersection into Ocean Parade. The Units are on the right 150 metres (multiple signs are located along this route).

Tariff Information:
A two night minimum stay applies to all weekends and a three night minimum stay applies to all long weekends. Seventh night free during off peak periods.

Unit

Units are spacious and sleep six with either two queen beds and two single beds (or) one queen bed and four single beds. Kitchens are well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric frypan, plasticware and much more. Linen is provided as are many little extras giving a home-away-from-home feeling. Lush gardens surround each units' patio giving privacy and a tropical secluded atmosphere.
