On The Wallaby is an award winning budget accommodation in the heart of Yungaburra on the Atherton Tablelands. Only one hour from Cairns. A maximum of up to 35 people can enjoy this welcoming, relaxed, clean and friendly lodge. Guests have a choice of share accommodation, double rooms or camping sites. Guided day / night canoeing and mountain bike tours are also available.

Yungaburra is both small enough to walk all around, and large enough to cater for the needs of all its visitors. It has international class art and craft galleries, restaurants, the beautifully grand Lake Eacham Hotel and is the perfect base to explore the nearby Crater Lakes and Waterfalls of the Atherton Tablelands.

A family owned and operated venture, with a focus on sustainable tourism, On the Wallaby Backpackers Lodge has a special appeal to budget-conscious travelers with an interest in wildlife and nature. A host of interesting and informative activities can be experienced from the Backpackers Lodge or can be included in an overnight tour package. On the Wallaby also specializes in catering for groups.

On the Wallaby Lodge is located approximately one hour's drive from Cairns, two hours from Port Douglas or Mission Beach.
You can catch their tour bus from Cairns, which departs at 8.00 a.m. or hire a car.
Trans North Buses run from Cairns to Atherton and they can pick you up from there. Please visit their website for more details.
