Description

Relax and restore at the Crystal Waters Eco Caravan Park, situated within the beautiful 250 hectare Crystal Waters Eco Village at the headwaters of the Mary River, eight kilometers from Conondale and 25 kilometres from Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Nestled among the foothills of the surrounding Bellthorpe Range and Blackall Range, a wide diversity of wildlife abounds in the tranquil bush setting.

The Eco Park provides powered and unpowered van and camping sites, bunkhouse rooms and a small cabin. There is an amenities block with hot showers and laundry facilities, and a covered camp kitchen.

Opportunities within the village include Eco Home and Permaculture Tours, natural therapies, yoga classes, bird watching and bushwalking, bush tucker explorations, swimming in the creeks, monthly markets, evening music events, and organic woodfired sourdough breads.

Great walks are nearby at the Conondale Range and Blackall Range. The local Conondale store and cafe is 15 minutes drive away and provides for most needs. The Kenilworth Cheesery and cafes are half an hour away, as is the country town of Maleny.

Children are welcome. There is a children's playground at the Village Green that includes a sand pit, swings and climbing equipment, and a sunken (ground level) trampoline.

Crystal Waters received a World Habitat Award for its pioneering work demonstrating new ways of low impact, sustainable living. The not-for-profit Crystal Waters Community Co-operative is the social and economic arm of the community, providing facilities for visitors and also facilitates tours of the Eco Village by prior arrangement if requested.

How To Get There:
From the coast, drive through Maleny following the Kenilworth Road. 18 kilometres from Maleny, turn left into Ahern's Road. Follow the blue signs to Crystal Waters, turning right into Kilcoy Lane. To reach the Eco Caravan Park, drive past the Village Green, turn next left into the Crystal Waters property, take the left exit at the roundabout, then next right and follow the signs to the end of the lane and the Eco Park.
