Newly owned by experienced travellers, the Civic Guest House is on the road to a complete transformation. Renovations have brought the hostel to a new level of comfort and cosiness. Open areas have been designed to help you meet other guests and make new friends.

Their aim is to provide their guests with a comfortable and quiet place to stay in a relaxed friendly environment with a convivial and serene atmosphere. Complimentary WiFi and friendly service are what we consider a must. So is free pick-up and drop-off from the bus and ferry terminals (subject to prior arrangement).

The Civic Guest House is centrally located in downtown Townsville, a short five minute stroll to Flinders Mall and a 15 minute walk to the Strand (beach) and Palmer Street (restaurant precinct). They offer free pick-up from the Greyhound bus terminal and the ferry terminal to Magnetic Island between 8.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.

How To Get There:
From the airport, the cheapest option is to catch the Abacus Shuttle Service for AUD10.00 per person or AUD18.00 for two people. If arriving by car, follow the signs to downtown. Walker Street is one street back from the main street (Sturt Street).
