There are four rooms in the bank manager's residence, one of which was the old Servant's Quarters situated off the back veranda. Two have a queen size bed and two have king sized beds. The king sized beds can be split into king singles if guests require it. One room has its own en-suite, two rooms share a bathroom and the Servant's Quarters has an outside bath-house with a shower above an original claw foot bath. Extra accommodation is available in the garden bungalow.
If more than one room is booked there will be a discount applied. If you would like them to prepare an evening meal for you, please let them know when you book. You will have the use of this lovely old home which has an old world charm with high ceilings and polished timber floors. If you would like to self cater you will be able to do so and use their terrific kitchen facilities in the large country kitchen.

Hearty breakfast pack is included in the tariff and all meals can be provided for upon request to give you a well earned rest. You may like to try fresh home cooking, pies, biscuits, cakes and scones for morning or afternoon tea or have a home cooked meal in the air-conditioned BYO cafe which was the original banking chamber.

The old bank residence comprises a comfortable homely spacious country accommodation in an old Queenslander timber building which has wooden polished floors. A wood heater in winter, air-conditioners in summer. The special experience of The Left Bank is the uniqueness of staying in an old bank residence in a lovely country town with exceptionally good old fashioned food lovingly prepared if you so desire.
Kangaroos can be seen in the afternoons on the edge of town and Australian birds of many descriptions visit the trees on the property and in the nearby area.

How To Get There:
If coming from the Gympie - they are located on Wide Bay Highway, north of Gympie, The Great Bunya Drive. Turn Left to Kilkivan off the Bruce Highway 12 kilometres north of Gympie. Continue over the Mary River and travel until you reach Kilkivan, approximately 38 kilometres. Located in the main street, next door to the Kilkivan Historical Museum.
If coming from the South Burnett end we are approximately one hour from Kingaroy on the Great Bunya Highway. More precise directions are just a phone call away.

Come with a group of friends or family or just come with the love of your life. The Left Bank can sleep up to five couples per night.

This is a renovated historic building, built in 1940s. The building has been renovated and is now named the Garden Cottage. The tariff includes breakfast. The room sleeps up to four.

There is one double bed and two singles in an open plan.

The bungalow uses a toilet and bath house with a traditional claw foot bath and a shower over the bath in the detached outbuilding. Enjoy this unique country experience.

Sleep in history in this lovely old room. This room features a queen size bed in original Servant's Quarters with entrance off the veranda. Original works of art adorn the walls. This is an ideal room for a couple seeking privacy. It is a short walk downstairs to the old bathhouse for amenities where you will find an original claw foot bath and stained glass windows by their resident artist. The prices for evening meals are very reasonable. In winter time, dinner by the fire is a lovely option while in summer; dinner on the deck is just delightful. If you do not require an evening meal, please let inform the staff.
