Wilks House is a popular family holiday home located within three kilometres of the Cairns Central Business District. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas and a well equipped kitchen. Plenty of room for a large group of up to eight people. The upstairs living area is comfortably furnished and has a 42 inch plasma screen television with Austar Satellite channels and a broadband wireless internet connection. The house is fully air conditioned for our hotter summer months, except for the downstairs rumpus room. The kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, microwave, gas cook top and electric oven, Bosch dishwasher, and all the most useful electrical kitchen gadgets.
... moreEasy access to the centre of town means that you can enjoy shopping, nightlife, and a diverse range of restaurants. The Marlin Marina is only a five minute drive. From here, boats take visitors out to the reef for a wonderful day of snorkelling, scuba diving or fishing.
Enjoy a swim at the Esplanade Lagoon pool, or take a stroll along the boardwalk in the evening to see the pelicans and other migratory birds. No visit to Cairns would be complete without a visit to the fabulous Botanical Gardens at Edge Hill.

How To Get There
From Cairns Airport: Take Airport Avenue to the main intersection with the Captain Cook Highway (Sheridan Street). Turn left, drive to the next lights (Sheridan/Greenslopes Street) and get into the right lane to turn right into Greenslopes Street. Drive about one kilometre to the lights at Pease Street. Turn left. Drive about one kilometre to roundabout. Take second exit. Follow the road to main intersection with Mulgrave road (about four kilometres). Be in the left hand lane to turn right because Wilks Street is first on left after 50 metres. The house is second on left.
