The Lodge and The Cottages Yungaburra, Atherton Tableland are fully self contained with all linen supplied. Set in eight acres of bushland bordering Peterson Creek, yet a short stroll to all facilities; these include restaurants, pub, take-away, butchery, super market/deli, pharmacy, doctor surgery, hairdresser, craft-shops, internet cafe, coffee shops.

The Lodge can accommodate up to 10 guests, an ideal venue for weddings, functions, parties. There are two Cottages available: Kingfisher Cottage is one bedroom with a queen-size bed and the Birdwing Cottage which is two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with two singles. Both Cottages contain a sofa bed which sleeps two persons.

Pets Allowed:
Yes. Pets are welcome; however an AUD25.00 surcharge will apply. Any damaged caused by dogs will have to be paid for. Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture. On no account should dogs be left alone in the cottages either inside or outside; dogs get distressed, feel abandoned and bark; disturbing neighbours.
There isn't a fenced garden so the dog cannot be allowed to roam freely because of the wildlife. Dogs, on a leash, are allowed on Peterson Creek walking track.
General Comments
The Cottages and the Lodge are a perfect location for nature lovers to view the rare, endangered Lumhotz Tree Kangaroo, walk along Peterson Creek and view the platypus. Explore the many attractions on the Atherton Tablelands.
How To Get There
Yungaburra can be accessed from the coast by three roads; from Innisfail by the Palmerston Highway; from Cairns via Gordonvale by the Gillies Highway; from Cairns via Mareeba by the Kennedy Highway. The shortest route from Cairns to Yungaburra is the Gillies Highway.

Birdwing Cottage has two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with two singles plus a sofa bed for two persons. There is a patio overlooking the forest with barbecue, living room with wood heater, television, DVD player, fully equipped kitchen, spa bath, shower and laundry. Port-a-cot and high chair available at no extra cost. Pet friendly.

The Lodge
Three bedrooms - sleeps up to 10 guests.
The Lodge's master bedroom has queen size bed with ensuite. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has three trundle beds, two of which zip together with deep-set zip transforming it in a spacious comfortable king sized bed. There is a bathroom, bath and shower and separate toilet.
All bedrooms are air-conditioned and all linen is supplied. There is a large fully equipped kitchen, patio overlooking the forest, heated spa/Jacuzzi with a view. The living room includes a piano, television, DVD player and antique furniture. Equipped laundry. Port-a-cot and high chair available at no extra cost. Pet friendly.
