Billabong Lodge Motel is a fresh family orientated Motel perfectly suited to the corporate trade and sporting groups, situated on the main Townsville motel strip of Bowen Road. All rooms have been fully refurbished between 2011 & 2013.
They operate Bed and Breakfast style seven days a week and also offers restaurant meals Monday to Friday. The property is within easy walking distance to a number of restaurants, shops, fast food takeaways and service stations and a Coles supermarket. Murray Stadium is 800 metres away.

The property remains close to the new General Hospital and university, racecourse, golf course and the main shopping precinct of Ross River Road. It is also close to the Civic Theatre, the new train station and the V8 supercar track.
They have spent considerable money, time and effort making sure your stay is a comfortable and safe one. If you cannot be in your own bed then you may as well enjoy the bed you are in. Inspection of the facilities is most welcome and they believe it represents great value for money.

Children are welcome. There is a pool, spa and slides located on premises. Porta cots are available, as well as a highchair and baby bath. Prior arrangements are welcomed.
Disabled:
There is access for guests with a disability. One room has wheelchair access and full bathroom facilities. Shower chair and toilet chair are available on request. One room has open shower for walking frames. Limited general access to the property.
Pets Allowed:
Yes. They are pet friendly people, however, you must be able to restrain and look after your own pets. They are allowed on premises but are not allowed in the rooms.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation must be received 24 hours prior to arrival or a cancellation fee equal to the first nights room fee will apply.

A childrens waterslide and spa as well as a free barbecue complements the refurbished pool and gardens. 23 undercover carparks are also available.
General Comments
This family run business has had the same operators for 14 years, and is a wonderful quiet and safe place to rest your heads. Great pride is taken in ensuring everything is clean and in working order.
The units are very quiet and feature new queen beds, some have king singles as well for the tall kids or extra adults. 25 of the units have full kitchenettes which presents a great value to those who like to prepare their own meals.
How To Get There
From the south, stay on the highway (do not take the city centre/Port turnoff) until you get to the traffic lights at the back of the Racecourse (presently the third set of lights), turn right at the lights and drive in two kilometres. Billabong Lodge Motel is the third Motel on the right hand side after you cross the Bridge. The turning lane comes straight in their driveway.
From the north, stay on the highway heading into Townsville turn right at Castletown Shopping Centre into Kings Road. Follow Kings Road in its entirety. It will eventually turn sharply left into Balls Lane, then as you cross Ross River Road it becomes Cross Street. Follow it through to the BP service station (located on Cross Street) and turn right onto Bowen Road. Motel is located about 900 metres along Bowen Road on the left hand side.
From the west, take the Stuart Drive exit off the Flinders Highway. This exit comes straight in Bowen Road.
