Walk or bus to the Central Business District, Southbank, the Convention and Exhibition Centre, Art Gallery and Museum, the Wheel of Brisbane and Queensland Performing Arts Centra, the State Library, the Lyric Theatre and Maritime Museum.
It's a 15 minute walk to the University of Queensland across the green bridge and to the city cat ferry terminal. They are just a five minute bus ride to the many colleges at Southbank - The Southbank Institute of Technology, The college of Tourism and Hospitality, the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Queensland College of Art, Griffith University Campus and the Royal Brisbane International College, Brisbane State High, St Lawrences and Sommerville House. They are also within easy reach of Griffith University and Queensland University of Technology Gardens Point campus.
The West End Greek Club, the Paniyiri Festival and river facilities including rowing are all within five minutes by car or bus. There are great views for Riverfire just a stroll away at Dornoch Terrace.
It's a five minute drive to the new Queensland Tennis Centre and the Brisbane Golf Club, and close to The 'Gabba for Australian Football League games and Cricket, and also to Suncorp Stadium. Book early for the State of Origin.
The Mater and Princess Alexandra Hospitals are within walking distance. There is a bus service at the door to each of these hospitals. Staff at the Ambassador Motor Inn are familiar with the PTS billing system. Patients and their carers are eligible for a discounted hospital rate. The Inn is central to Wesley Hospital, Royal Brisbane and the many specialists on Wickham Terrace.
From south take the Stanley Street exit off the Pacific Freeway, travel west past the Mater Hospital keeping to the left lane. Turn left at the intersection of Vulture Street and Gladstone Road.
From north, cross the river. Follow Vulture Street towards West End. Turn left into Gladstone Road. Ambassador is located one kilometre on the left.
